Privacy Policy

This page explains, in plain terms, how your traffic is handled when you use Get A Free Node, and what our nodes will and will not do with it.

How your traffic is forwarded

When you connect through one of our nodes, your traffic is forwarded by servers that we operate directly, or by servers that our sponsors provide to this project.

Sponsor-provided servers are owned and operated by third parties. We select sponsors carefully, but we cannot guarantee the same level of control over their infrastructure as we have over our own servers. Please avoid transmitting highly sensitive or confidential information through sponsor-provided nodes.

Access filtering

To keep the service stable, reduce abuse, and avoid legal risk to our nodes, our servers block access to websites and categories that we consider harmful, illegal, or high risk.

You can review the current restricted access list for details on what is blocked and why.

Data we keep

GetAFreeNode only saves your Key with 1 cookie.
We do not log or inspect the content of the traffic that passes through our nodes; only the minimal technical information needed to keep the service running and prevent abuse is processed.
GetAFreeNode is fully GDPR compliant.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for how you use our nodes. Do not use this service for illegal activity.

Because part of our traffic passes through sponsor-operated servers, treat this service like any public network: fine for everyday browsing and bypassing censorship, but not a substitute for end-to-end encryption when handling sensitive data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the project evolves. GetAFreeNode reserves the right of final interpretation of this Policy.
